CANOA — Corpus Apertum Nummorum Orbis Antiqui: an open corpus of ancient world coinage, bringing together data on coins of Greece, Rome, Persia, Carthage, Byzantium and other ancient civilizations.
The project collects, systematizes and provides open access to data on coin types, physical specimens from museum collections, hoards, metrology, dating, legends and images.

Coin type data: provided under the Open Database License (ODbL). You are free to copy, distribute and create derivative works provided you attribute the source and share under the same license.
Coin images: are the property of the respective collection-holding institutions. Each image is used in accordance with the open access policy of the particular museum; the license of every collection is listed in the table above. Many collections permit non-commercial use only.
